Primary headache and myofascial pain: a data based study

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between presence of primary headaches and myofascial pain in orofacial patients. Materials methods: Six hundred ninety-nine records patients seeking treatment a specialized clinic were assessed. The diagnostic categories headache recorded. Data analyses carried out by Pearson Chi-square Logistic Regression, with p-value 0.05. Results: Average age was 34.6 years. Females constituted 82.8% sample. A tension-type found (p=0.00); however, this not for migraine (p>0.05). Discussion: Tension-type may be triggered or perpetuated trigger points structures. Conclusion: It can concluded that play an important role genesis headache.
